Weird Oklahoma History


Her children were 2 years old and 10 months old. She was trying to sell them for $4,000 total or $2,000 each. But when she got desperate she tried getting $1,000 each. The lady was reported to Child Protective Services and was arrested.

In 2013 a man was found dead in Sequoyah County of a severely burned body, but no fire damage to nearby furniture or other items were found. There were no signs of a break-in or struggle.

One possible explanation is spontaneous combustion. Others believe it was caused by a heart attack – then being involved posthumously in the fire which consumed most of his body.

Oklahoma Judge Donald Thompson exposed himself during court at least 15 times between 2001 and 2003.

Thompson had spent almost 23 years on the bench and had served as a state legislator before retiring from the court in 2004. Prosecutors said he also used a device known as a penis pump during at least four trials in the same period. He was convicted of four felony courts of indecent exposure for incidents that took place in his Creek County courtroom.

Shamen’s Portal” in the sand dunes of Beaver’s Dune State Park has been reported as a portal responsible for many mysterious deaths.

All the way back to the days of Coronado, people claim to have seen bright lights coming from the area and people disappearing. Coronado claims he lost 3 men when he crossed over this area on his way to Mexico. They were warned by the natives but didn’t heed their warnings. It is said to be, “Oklahoma’s version of the Bermuda Triangle.”
